1. Does your company use any products (i.e., fabric dyes) that have been tested on animals? *

I.e Some dyes are tested on animals or contain animal products like carmine.

2. Does your company support any organisations or businesses affiliated with animal testing in any way (i.e. by donating money or products to charities involved in animal testing like the Cancer Society or New Zealand Brain Research Institute). *

3. Does your fashion label have a parent company? *

3a. If you answered yes to #3, who is your parent company and are they affiliated with animal testing (i.e., uses dyes or other products that have been tested on animals or donates to companies that are involved in animal testing)?

4. Are any or all of the products you make vegan? *

I.e garments made of leather, silk, sheep or alpaca wool, angora fur from rabbits etc. Garments made from non-vegan glues or dyes.

5. Does your company have any cruelty-free, sustainability or other relevant certifications?

I.e. Certified with Choose Cruelty Free, PETA or Leaping Bunny. Associated with Fashion Revolution, FairTrade or Good on You APP.

Ethical practice: NZAVS strives to be as ethical as possible towards humans, animals and the environment. This means that we are culturally conscious and non-discriminatory, we are a vegan organisation and actively avoid purchasing products containing animal products and we are continuously improving our processes so that our practices are as environmentally friendly as they can be. We are committed to achieving our goals without contributing to the further marginalisation of any group, including tangata whenua, LGBTQIA+ and others.

Evidence-based: The work that we publish and promote will be based on valid evidence.

Non-violence: NZAVS only promotes non-violent actions and tactics. We do not condone violence or abuse of any kind, verbal or otherwise and we advocate respect for all beings, including humans.
